The project is in a very pleasant neighborhood near Kegalle city, Sri Lanka. The land is about 35 perches with lush green environment. The architectural plan was developed according to the young couple’s low budget for the project. Due to that reason project proposed to complete in two phases. This is the first phase of the project, a single storey house with 2 bedrooms. The floor area of this 1st phase is about 1900sqft.

The main concept of the build was to accomplish spaces where the boundaries between inside and outside blur: to find harmony with the environment. Both Living area and the dining areas have fully openable windows towards the denser green area of the land. The pond placed in between the green and the house to enhance the quality.

In order to achieve a perception of the house as a volume that emerged organically from the ground, raw, natural tones form the primary palette of the project. Fair face brick wall, Clay potty as the plaster of the walls, titanium floor and timber doors and windows: where the ranges and colors of the environment integrate into the shades of the building.
